BW Planning was established by Ben Wood in 2019. Prior to running his own business, Ben spent 6 years working in the South West and the South of England for multinational firms of property agents and advisors, undertaking a wide variety of planning work for private clients, typically private landowners.
Ben’s planning career began in a local planning authority. He has since spent 12+ years in the private sector, establishing a valuable network of clients and professional contacts.
Ben returned home to Cornwall in 2015 and has lived in Mid-Cornwall ever since. His simple, effective business model delivers competitive, affordable planning advice and services.
Projects have ranged from small-scale householder development, barn conversions and works to the interior and exterior of listed buildings, to providing advice and services to rural landowners, the leisure and tourism sector and assisting the promotion of strategic development sites.
Recent successes include new residential development plots, residential extensions, shepherd huts, commercial buildings and the renovation of grade II listed buildings.
Ben is a Chartered Town Planner and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI).
